How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

These sweatpants are 37 % bamboo viscose, 27,5 % organic cotton, 27,5 % acrylic and 8 % elastane. The bamboo content is low compared with our underwear, and you should know that: the acrylic is what gives the warmth, and that is why Jade feels like a proper winter pair rather than a thin layer.

What the bamboo adds

The 37 % bamboo viscose is still enough to make the trousers feel soft against the skin and not scratch the way pure acrylic can. The combination is the point: the warmth from the acrylic and the surface from the bamboo. We go through the materials honestly in our facts about bamboo.

Wash acrylic blends cool

Acrylic pills if it is washed too warm or tumble dried. Wash the trousers at 30 to 40 degrees with your dark clothes, turn them inside out, skip the fabric softener and let them air dry. See our washing and care guide. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate no. SHKO 039388.
