White or black tennis socks

The difference between the brands

Copenhagen Bamboo makes up most of the range. Its tennis socks come in 3 packs and have an extra thick woven sole made for people who are on their feet all day. JBS of Denmark sells tennis socks in 2 packs, slightly thicker under the foot and with flat seams over the toes to keep irritation to a minimum. Bamboo Basics has a 2 pack with a cushioned sole and flat toe seams, which also works as a walking or work sock. Lindbergh sells single pairs in bamboo viscose with stretch, which are temperature regulating and moisture wicking for both sport and everyday wear.

Long rib, regular length or ankle

Length makes a big difference to the look. Tennis socks with a long rib go higher up the calf and give the classic retro look, often with stripes. Regular length is the safe everyday choice. Ankle tennis socks are shorter and suit you if you want the thick sole and the tennis knit, but not so much sock above the edge. How to choose your size

Sizes are given as EU shoe sizes, and they are split slightly differently from brand to brand. Copenhagen Bamboo comes in 30/33, 34/39, 40/44 and 45/49, so there is also a size for big feet. JBS of Denmark has 40/45 and 45/48, Bamboo Basics has 35/40, 41/46 and 47/50, and Lindbergh has one size, 40/47, which fits well thanks to the stretch. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one if you have wide feet and the smaller one if you want the sock to fit close.
