Bamboo envelope sheets in lyocell

Bamboo envelope sheets are sheets with elastic in the corners that stay on the mattress and do not bunch up during the night. What is an envelope sheet

An envelope sheet is sewn so that the corners fold down over the edges of the mattress like an envelope, and the elastic holds it in place. This makes it quick to make the bed, because you do not have to fold and tuck a loose sheet under the mattress. The envelope sheets from Nordic Weaving have a depth of 20 cm, which suits most standard mattresses. Sizes for single and double beds

All colours come in 90 x 200 cm and 180 x 200 cm, so they fit a single bed and a standard double bed. Several colours also come in 140 x 200 cm and 160 x 200 cm. The white envelope sheet has the widest choice and also comes in 90 x 210 cm, 120 x 200 cm and 180 x 210 cm, so it also fits a slightly longer bed or a wide single bed. Always measure the length and width of your mattress before you order, and check the height too.

When to choose a fitted sheet

If you have a deep mattress, or there is a topper on top, 20 cm may be too little. In that case a fitted sheet with a 35 cm depth is a better choice, because it reaches all the way round both layers. You will find them among our bamboo fitted sheets. If you have an adjustable bed where the two halves move separately, look at a bamboo split sheet instead.

Colours to match the rest of the bed

The envelope sheets come in white, light blue, lavender, sand, light beige, taupe, khaki and dark grey. The light colours give a calm and bright bedroom, while dark grey and khaki hide a little more and go well with darker bedding. Many people choose two sheets in different colours, so there is always a clean one ready while the other is in the wash.

Bamboo lyocell

Lyocell is a way of making fibres from bamboo that gives a smooth and tightly woven fabric. It feels cool against the skin when you lie down, and it is pleasant to sleep on, also if you tend to get warm at night.
