White, black or grey

A white tank top is the classic choice under a light coloured shirt. Under a dark shirt or on its own as a summer top, a black tank top is often more discreet. Size and fit

A tank top worn as underwear should fit close, so it does not bunch up under your shirt. So choose your normal size, or one size down if you are between two.
