Turiform is a Scandinavian bedding brand that today belongs to Quilts of Denmark in Vamdrup. The company has designed, developed and produced duvets and pillows for more than 25 years, and Turiform joined the family through the merger with its Norwegian sister company in 2019. Where the sister brand Borås Cotton stands for the classic style with patterns, Turiform is the brand that follows current trends and modern colours. The logo says it plainly: Scandinavian design.
The range is developed jointly across Scandinavia, with core products that stay in the collection year after year and seasonal ranges updated each spring and autumn. It is a sensible split: you can buy more of the bedding you already own without finding it discontinued, and you can find something new when you are ready for it.
Enjoy: 100 percent bamboo, satin woven
We carry Turiform's Enjoy series, and it is worth understanding, because it stands apart from most bedding on the market. Enjoy is 100 percent bamboo viscose. There is no cotton and no polyester in it, and that is exactly why it feels different when you lie down in it.
The fabric is satin woven. Satin is not a material but a way of weaving, where the thread passes over several threads before dipping under. That gives a smooth, faintly lustrous surface that drapes heavily around the body instead of standing stiffly away from it. Combined with the round shape of the bamboo fibres, the result is bedding that feels cool to the touch but not cold to sleep in.
Temperature regulation is the other half of the point. Bamboo viscose moves heat and moisture away from the body instead of holding on to it, so you sleep cooler in summer and do not wake up clammy at night. If you sleep warm, or if two of you share a bed with different internal thermostats, that is the difference that matters most in practice.
Colours and sizes
We stock Enjoy in six colours: white, grey, light blue, blue, champagne and old rose. White and grey are the safe choices that go with everything. Champagne is the warm, almost sand coloured shade, old rose the dusty pink, and the two blues run from the very light to the deeper tone.
The sizes cover Scandinavian beds: 140 x 200 cm for the standard single duvet, 140 x 220 cm for the long one, and 200 x 220 cm for the double. Note that two pillowcases are included when you buy 200 x 220 cm, while the two smaller sizes come with one. The bedding is made in Bangladesh.
What a set of bamboo bedding costs in the long run
Bedding in pure bamboo costs more than an ordinary cotton set, and it is worth knowing why. Bamboo viscose is more expensive to produce, and because Enjoy is not blended with cotton or polyester, there is no cheap filler in the weave. In return a set lasts for many years when washed correctly, and it grows softer over time rather than pilling.
Most people end up keeping two sets in rotation, so one is ready while the other is in the wash. Buy them in two colours from the same series and they share the same pillowcases, letting you change the look of the bedroom without replacing everything.
How to care for it
Satin woven bamboo should not be treated harshly. Wash at 40 degrees, turn the cover inside out, and keep the fabric softener away. Softener leaves a film on the fibres that takes both the sheen and the moisture transport you bought the bedding for. The tumble dryer is fine, but take it out while still slightly damp, and it will be both softer and easier to smooth out. Bamboo viscose creases less than cotton, so most people can skip the iron altogether.
