WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

These white bamboo maxi briefs have a high waist and good coverage of the bottom, from JBS of Denmark. Besides being super soft, bamboo is also breathable.

Maxi means a high waist and good coverage at the back. It is the cut you choose when the briefs need to stay in place all day without adjusting, and when you do not want elastic that cuts across the hip. White shows through less than black under light-coloured trousers.

65 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 65 % bamboo viscose, 30 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane, and the bamboo is FSC MIX certified. The bamboo viscose is both soft and breathable, which is the whole reason the material works in underwear. The organic cotton gives the brief the firmness it needs to hold its shape. Wash white underwear separately

White briefs turn greyish beige from being washed with coloured laundry, and it happens gradually so you do not notice it. Wash them with the rest of your whites at 40 degrees and skip the fabric softener. See our washing and care guide. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate no. 976-15301.
