How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

2 burgundy bamboo tank tops with adjustable straps from Bamboo Basics. An obvious part of the basic wardrobe, where bamboo is a breathable material that keeps you comfortable all day.

The straps are narrow and adjustable, so the top can be worn both under a shirt and on its own. Slim fit, two pieces, sizes from S to XXL.

Wash burgundy separately the first time

Red and burgundy colours give off colour in the first couple of washes. Run the tops on their own or together with other red items the first few times, otherwise the rest of the laundry ends up pink. After that they can be washed with the dark laundry at 40 degrees and without fabric softener. See our washing and care guide.

Bamboo and cotton jersey
