WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

White T-shirt with a round neck

The white T-shirt with a round neck is the most useful top there is, and also the one that most often has to be replaced because it turns grey beige. This one is from Resteröds, who make basics as their main business, in sizes from S to XXL.

65 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 65 % bamboo viscose, 30 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane, and the bamboo is FSC MIX certified. The bamboo viscose is the reason the T-shirt wicks sweat and regulates temperature: it moves heat and moisture away from the skin instead of holding on to it. How it stays white longest

Wash it with the rest of your whites at 40 degrees, never together with colours. Bamboo fabric tolerates bleach without chlorine, but not high heat. Skip the fabric softener and hang it up to dry. See our washing and care guide. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate no. 976-15301.
