How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

5-pack black bamboo socks from Urban Quest. Comfortable and soft to wear all day, breathable quality that suits every day.

These are 80% bamboo viscose, 18% polyester and 2% elastane. That is more bamboo than in most socks, where the share typically lies between 60 and 75%, and it shows: the surface is softer, and moisture is moved away from the sole of the foot faster.

In return, they need to be treated correctly

With only 18% polyester, there is less in the sock to hold its shape under heat than in a sock with a third polyester. Wash at 40 degrees and keep them out of the tumble dryer so the shaft does not go slack.

Five pairs

Socks disappear and wear out faster than the rest of your clothes, and five identical pairs mean that one pair wearing out can be dropped without ruining the set.
