WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Two dark blue long sleeved T-shirts

Dark blue is the alternative to black when you want a long sleeved basic top that is not quite as harsh in expression. It works under a shirt in winter and on its own with a pair of jeans. Here you get two, so one can be in the wash. From Bamboo Basics in a women's fit, sizes from S to XXL.

Why it works as a base layer

A base layer has to move moisture away from your skin, otherwise you get cold when you stand still. Bamboo viscose absorbs more moisture than cotton and evaporates it out into the fabric. The fabric is 68 % bamboo viscose, 28 % organic cotton and 4 % elastane, as described in our facts about bamboo.

Wash dark blue separately

Dark blue gives off a little dye the first few times, so keep the tops away from your whites. Wash at 40 degrees with your dark clothes and leave out the fabric softener. See our washing and care guide. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate no. SHKO 039388.
