The shoulder is the fixed point

Whatever the fit, the shoulder seam should end at the edge of the shoulder, otherwise the sleeve hangs over the upper arm and makes the whole garment look too large. The exception is the deliberately oversized model, where the seam may sit a couple of centimetres lower, but then the rest should be roomy too.

The bust decides the size
