Spin speed and what it does to the fabric

Short answer: Choose 600 to 800 revolutions for bamboo fabric. Higher speeds press creases into the fibres and cause more wear than the wash itself.

What happens at high speed

The fabric is pressed hard against the drum wall and sits there in sharp folds. In wet viscose those folds set, and they are exactly what you later see as creases that will not come out.

What you gain by turning it down
