WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Pack of 2 ribbed bamboo tank tops in white and nude from Urban Quest. Soft fit, breathable quality, perfect under clothes or to sleep in.

Nude is the colour that disappears best under light blouses, where even white can show a visible edge. Here you get one of each, so you are covered both under white and under everything else light. Rib knit, wide straps.

Why rib

Rib is a knit with vertical ridges. It gives way across and pulls back together again, and that is why a ribbed top sits close without being tight and does not go wavy at the neckline after washing.

70 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 70% bamboo viscose, 25% organic cotton and 5% elastane. The bamboo viscose provides the softness and the breathability, the organic cotton makes sure the rib keeps its stretch. We go through the material in our facts about bamboo.

Wash light items separately

Both colours turn greyish from going in with the dark laundry. Wash them with the rest of the light wash at 40 degrees and leave out the fabric softener. See our washing and care guide. The tops are OEKO-TEX Standard certified.
