How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Red underwear releases dye the first few times

These red bamboo thongs from Bamboo Basics have a narrow sewn-on elastic in the waistband and the leg openings. Bamboo is, among other things, breathable and absorbent.

Red dyes release colour during the first few washes. Wash the three pairs alone or together with other red items to begin with, otherwise you risk transferring colour onto light underwear. After three or four washes they can go with the rest.

Narrow elastic all the way round

Both the waistband and the leg openings have a narrow sewn-on elastic. On a thong that is the right choice, because a wide edge would show exactly where the style was chosen so that nothing shows.

Washing
