WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

What a forward-shifted side seam does

Black bamboo hotpants from Urban Quest with a bonded seam at the waist and a forward-shifted side seam for extra comfort. Soft and breathable quality for everyday wear.

The side seam is moved forward towards the front of the leg instead of sitting in the middle of the side. It is precisely in the middle of the side that a pair of trousers is tightest, which is why a seam can be felt there. Moved forward, it sits somewhere with room to spare.

Hotpants

Hotpants cover more of the thigh than ordinary briefs. This adds a layer between skin and trousers and also stops skin from rubbing against skin under a dress on a hot day.

The material

70% bamboo viscose, 25% organic cotton and 5% elastane. The bamboo content gives the cool surface against the skin. More in facts about bamboo.

Washing

40 degrees without fabric softener and not in the tumble dryer, where both bonded seams and elastane are worn down by heat. See the washing and care guide.
