Wide or thin straps

White, black or skin tone

White and black undershirts are the two classics, and almost every brand has them. Under a white or light shirt, however, a skin tone undershirt can be less visible than a white one. Seamless, rib or smooth jersey

Each brand has its own style. Boody's tops are seamless and close fitting and work both as an undershirt and as a top with jeans. Urban Quest and Bamboo Basics have rib knit tank tops, where the rib gives natural stretch and hold, and Urban Quest has double edges that make them neat enough to wear on their own or sleep in. Bamboo Basics also has smooth styles with stretch and a close fit. Copenhagen Bamboo has tank tops with a round neck and tops with side seams, and JBS of Denmark has a style with bound edges and a rolled hem. A thin undershirt in smooth jersey lies flattest under your clothes, while rib gives a little more texture.

Size and fit

The undershirts come in sizes XS to XXL, but not every style covers the whole range. As bamboo is soft and stretchy, most sit close to the body. Choose your normal size if the undershirt should lie smoothly under your clothes, and consider a larger size if you want to wear it as a looser top or to sleep in.
