The sizes and who they suit

140 x 200 cm is the standard size for a single duvet and the best seller. 140 x 220 cm is the long version for you if you are tall, or if you do not want your feet uncovered at night. 200 x 220 cm is the double duvet for the double bed and comes in white, grey, champagne and old rose. Every set consists of a duvet cover and a pillowcase, and the number of pillowcases is listed on each product page.

Turiform and the Enjoy series

Turiform is behind the Enjoy series in satin woven bamboo, available in white, grey, blue, light blue, champagne and old rose. The satin weave is the reason the surface has that faint sheen and smooth feel. It is the same weave throughout the series, so you can mix the colours between beds and still get the same feeling in every room.

Bamboo, cotton or percale

Cotton bedding in percale is crisp and matte and cools down quickly, but it absorbs moisture more slowly. How to wash bamboo bedding

Wash at 40 degrees inside out. Use a mild detergent, skip fabric softener and avoid the tumble dryer, the most common reason a duvet cover shrinks and becomes hard to get the duvet into. Shake the cover once it is washed and hang it up straight away, and most creases straighten out on their own. If you have two sets, you can change every week and let the other rest, and both will last longer.

The first night and the first washes

New bedding should be washed before it is used the first time. After a couple of washes the weave settles, the fabric gets softer, and the faint sheen of the satin becomes calmer. Bamboo viscose takes up less space folded than cotton, and it dries faster, which is practical if you wash bedding in the evening and want to make the bed again the next day.

The rest of the bedroom

Bedding and nightwear work towards the same thing. If you lie in bamboo bedding and sleep in synthetic nightwear, you have only solved half of it. How many sets do you need

Two sets is the practical minimum: one on the bed and one in the cupboard while the first is washed. If you change every other week, two sets last for years, because neither is used up at once. Three sets leave room for one to stay on the line an extra day without you having to make the bed with something else. Bamboo viscose takes up less space folded than cotton, so it does not need more room in the linen cupboard.

How to get the duvet into the cover

Satin woven bamboo is smooth, and that actually makes the job easier than with cotton, where the fabric grips the duvet. Turn the cover half inside out, take hold of the two innermost corners together with the two corners of the duvet, and shake the cover down over the duvet instead of pushing the duvet up into it. If the cover has shrunk in a tumble dryer, neither method works, and that is the most common reason a set becomes awkward after a year.

Is bamboo bedding warm in summer? No. It is among the coolest things to get into, because it leads heat and moisture away from the body.

Does it shrink? Not at 40 degrees with line drying. The tumble dryer is the cause when the cover becomes too short.

Can it be ironed? Yes, at a low temperature. Most people avoid it entirely by hanging the cover up straight away.
