WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Light blue is the colour that holds up alongside white

The basic T-shirt is available here as a light blue bamboo T-shirt from JBS of Denmark. Breathable, temperature regulating and absorbent, wonderfully soft and light and lovely to wear all day.

A light T-shirt does not have to be white. Light blue does the same job, it is just as easy to pair with denim and sand tones, and unlike white it does not show yellowish marks under the arms over time.

The cut

Round neck, short sleeves, close-fitting without being tight. Thin enough to sit under an open shirt or a cardigan.

The material

65% bamboo viscose, 30% organic cotton and 5% elastane. The bamboo content gives the cool surface and moves moisture away from the skin, the cotton holds the shape, the elastane keeps the neckline in shape. More in facts about bamboo.

Washing

40 degrees without fabric softener. Light colours last best without a tumble dryer, and light blue fades in direct sun, so dry the T-shirt in the shade. See the washing and care guide.
