How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Soft dark grey unisex bamboo sweatpants from Copenhagen Bamboo with a logo on the right thigh. Zip pockets, made from bamboo viscose, organic cotton and polyester.

The zip is the reason these can be worn outside the home. Your phone and keys stay in the pocket when you sit down or use a treadmill, and that's the one detail ordinary sweatpants lack.

The cut

Loose legs with ribbed cuffs at the bottom, elastic and a drawstring at the waist, logo on the right thigh. Unisex cut, so the same style is worn by men and women.

The fabric

55% bamboo viscose against the skin, 25% polyester so the knees don't bag out, 15% organic cotton for the weight and 5% elastane at the edges. It's the polyester that keeps the trousers in shape after a winter on the sofa. More in facts about bamboo.

Washing

40 degrees inside out, so the logo on the thigh doesn't wear off. No fabric softener, which coats the bamboo fibres and takes away some of the softness. See the washing and care guide.
