How to Find Your Bra Size at Home

Short answer: You can find your bra size at home with an ordinary tape measure. Measure under your bust and around the fullest part of your bust, and you have the two numbers that a bra size guide uses to work out both your band size and your cup size.

How to measure for a bra size guide

Take the tape measure and measure snugly, but comfortably, just under your bust. That number gives you your band size, for example 75 or 80. Then measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust. The difference between the two measurements decides the cup size: around 13 cm corresponds to an A cup, 15 cm to a B cup and so on.

Always measure without a thick bra or jumper, and stand relaxed with your arms down by your sides. Ask someone to help you if you can, so the tape measure sits level all the way round.

Wire-free models are more forgiving

A bamboo bra without underwire is stretchy and moulds to your body, so it forgives small variations in your measurements. If you are between two sizes, you can therefore often pick the one that feels best without losing the fit.
