Stains from cream and oil on nightwear

Short answer: Moisturiser and hair oil leave dark stains that do not come out in an ordinary wash. They have to be treated like grease stains with a little liquid detergent straight on the fabric.

Why they do not come out

Cream is grease, and grease does not bind to water. That is why the stain stays put, even after several washes.

Treat the stain directly

Put a little liquid detergent on and rub it in with your finger. Let it work for a quarter of an hour before washing.
