WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Dark grey striped socks from Egtved

The stripes mean the socks are not completely anonymous, without turning them into a statement. It is the middle ground many people look for when plain dark grey becomes too dull. From Egtved, in 40/45 and 45/48.

71 per cent bamboo viscose and no elastane

The fabric is 71% bamboo viscose and 29% polyamide. There is therefore no elastane in them, which means that the leg stays up by way of the knit rather than by squeezing. The bamboo is FSC MIX certified. See our facts about bamboo and our FSC page.

Flat seams over the toes

The seam across the toes is flat instead of standing up as a ridge. That is the detail you notice most inside a shoe, and one of the few things that really separates a good sock from a cheap one.
