How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Black unisex bamboo hoodie from Copenhagen Bamboo with logo print over the chest. Made from bamboo viscose, organic cotton and recycled polyester.

Black is the most used colour in sweat garments, and it is also the one that changes the most. Black bamboo viscose turns greyish from hot washing and from the tumble dryer. If you stick to 40 degrees and hang it to dry, it stays black for much longer than most black tops.

The cut

Unisex, hood without zip, ribbed cuffs and hem and logo printed over the chest.

The fabric

55% bamboo viscose against the skin, 25% polyester so the shape holds, 15% organic cotton for the weight and 5% elastane in the trims. The bamboo fibres are FSC MIX certified, see FSC. More in facts about bamboo.

Wash inside out

Turn the top inside out before washing, so the drum wears the back of the fabric rather than the logo. No fabric softener. See the washing and care guide.
