How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

These socks from Lindbergh only come in 40 to 47. That is a wide span, but if your shoe size falls outside it, you need to choose another model. The stripes mean the socks are not completely anonymous, without becoming a statement.

80 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 80 % bamboo viscose, 17 % nylon and 3 % elastane. That is a high bamboo content for a sock, and the difference shows: they feel smooth rather than just soft, and they keep the foot dry through a long day. The nylon takes the wear at the heel and the toe. The socks are made in Turkey. See our facts about bamboo.

Stretch gives the fit

The three per cent elastane is enough to keep the sock in place around the calf all day without gripping tight. That is the balance you pay for in a sock with a high bamboo content.
