Light blue bamboo fitted sheet from Nordic Weaving, made of 100 % bamboo lyocell. Elastic all the way round and a 35 cm depth mean it also fits a mattress with a topper.

Why light blue

Light blue is cool without turning cold. It gives the bedroom the feeling of light bedding on a summer morning, and it suits pale wood.

Bamboo lyocell, not bamboo viscose

The item is made from bamboo lyocell. Lyocell is produced in a closed loop where the solvent is reused, and the fibre comes out stronger than ordinary viscose. That matters more for bedding and sheets than for anything else, because they are washed more often than the rest of the textiles in the house.

Fitted sheet 35 cm or 20 cm

This sheet has a 35 cm depth and elastic all the way round. That is what is needed when the mattress is deep or carries a topper. If the mattress is a normal height, the 20 cm sheet fits better. The fabric is sateen woven with 300 threads per inch. The thread count gives the smooth surface and makes the fabric hard wearing enough for washing. More in our facts about bamboo.

How it feels

• Silky soft against the skin. Satin woven bamboo lyocell has a smooth surface with low friction.
• Cool in summer and warm in winter. The fabric regulates temperature and draws moisture away from the body.
• Dry and comfortable. Lyocell absorbs up to 13 % of its own weight in moisture before it feels wet. Cotton manages 8.5 %.
• Stays tight and smooth. Elastic all the way round keeps the sheet in place.
• Gentle on sensitive skin. Certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and tested for harmful substances.

Washing and sizes

Wash at 30 to 40 degrees on a gentle cycle without fabric softener. Softener leaves a film that takes both the sheen and the moisture absorption. See the washing and care guide.
