The waistband is woven as one with the briefs

These black bamboo tai briefs have a narrow seam free side, a waistband woven as one with the briefs, as well as a narrow sewn on elastic at the leg openings. Bamboo is, among other things, breathable.

There is no sewn on elastic at the waist. Instead, the waistband is knitted as one with the rest of the briefs, which means there is no edge that can roll up or leave a mark. The sides are likewise seam free.

What this means in practice

Under a pair of leggings or tight trousers, it's the seams and waistband that give away underwear. When both are gone, there's nothing to see. Only the leg openings have a narrow sewn on elastic.

The material

80% bamboo viscose, 13% polyamide and 7% elastane. The polyamide is there instead of cotton because it makes the knit more hardwearing and smoother, and that's why the style can have such a high bamboo content and still hold its shape. More in facts about bamboo.
