How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Here you get two, so one can be in the wash. From Bamboo Basics in a women's fit, sizes from S to XXL.

Why it works as a base layer

An inner layer has to move the moisture away from the skin, otherwise you get cold when you stand still after having been active. Bamboo viscose takes up more moisture than cotton and evaporates it out into the fabric, and that is exactly the property that makes the difference. The fabric is 68% bamboo viscose, 28% organic cotton and 4% elastane, as described in our facts about bamboo.

Smooth against the skin

Bamboo viscose is smooth, which is relevant when a top sits directly against the skin for many hours under other clothing. It's a different feel than a woolly or rough cotton top.

Keep them black
