WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Pack of 3 black maxi briefs in soft bamboo from Urban Quest with bonded seams without irritating stitching. Breathable quality, comfortable fit.

Bonded seams mean the pieces are joined with heat and glue instead of being sewn. So there is no thread that can be felt, no ridge and no stitching that can leave marks on the skin. It is the most invisible way to assemble briefs. Three black pairs from Urban Quest.

Maxi means high waist

The waistband sits above the hip bone and there is full coverage at the back. It is the shape you choose when the knickers need to stay in place all day without being adjusted.

70 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is the soft and breathable part, the organic cotton gives the knickers firmness so they keep their shape. We go through the material in our facts about bamboo.

Washing

40 degrees with the dark wash, without fabric softener, and let them air dry so the bonding holds longest. See our washing and care guide. The briefs are OEKO-TEX Standard certified.
