Short answer: Delivery to a DAO parcel shop is free on orders over 499 Danish kroner. Below that amount, parcel shop delivery costs 39 kroner, and delivery to your home address costs a little more.
The free delivery threshold
Free delivery applies to a DAO parcel shop when the order is over 499 kroner. It is the cheapest way to receive your goods, and most people have a parcel shop near home or work. Prices can change, so always check the current prices on the delivery page.
Below the threshold
If the order is under 499 kroner, parcel shop delivery costs 39 kroner. If you are only a little short, it can pay to add a pair of socks or a set of underwear. That way you get one more item you would use anyway instead of paying for delivery.
To your home address
Delivery to your door costs more than a parcel shop, because the transport is more expensive. In return, you do not have to collect the parcel yourself. You choose the delivery method at checkout, where the price is shown before you pay, so you can compare and pick what suits you.
What people often add
Socks and underwear are the items people most often add to reach the threshold. They are worn every day, wear out over time and take up little space in the parcel. An extra pair of socks is rarely wasted. See all bamboo socks for men.
For women
If you are shopping for women, underwear is the obvious thing to add. A pair of knickers or a bra without underwire is worn often, and it makes sense to have several in the drawer. See the matching items in bamboo underwear for women.
Combine your orders
If there are several things you would like, it pays to combine them into one order instead of ordering several times. You reach the free delivery threshold more easily and only have one parcel to collect. That saves both delivery costs and an extra trip to the parcel shop.
Choose the right parcel shop
Choose the parcel shop that is most convenient for you, not necessarily the one closest to your address. Many pick a shop on the way home from work. That makes it easy to collect the parcel, and it will not sit waiting longer than necessary.
Returns
If an item needs to go back, it costs a fixed amount, whether or not delivery was free. The amount is deducted from your refund. Check the size before ordering to avoid both the hassle and the cost. See returns and exchanges.
Prices at checkout
Delivery prices and thresholds may be adjusted over time. What is shown at checkout when you order is what applies to your order. If you are unsure, check the delivery page before placing the order. The current prices are always listed there.
The terms
The full terms for delivery, payment and the right of withdrawal are gathered in one place. There you can also see what applies if a parcel is not collected or if there is a problem with delivery. Read them if you are unsure about anything. See terms and conditions.
