Does it absorb sweat and moisture better than Egyptian cotton?

Bamboo bedding is highly absorbent and wicks away moisture more effectively than both Egyptian cotton and cotton sateen bedding. In fact, bamboo viscose wicks away moisture 2–3 times faster than cotton, for example. This means that bamboo bedding provides an incredibly comfortable night’s sleep, even if you sweat a lot at night. Bamboo is a luxurious material for pillowcases, sheets, and duvet covers—making it the perfect choice for your new bedding. It can be used year-round, as this bedding is temperature-regulating and helps keep your body comfortably warm.

Is bamboo also organic?

Bamboo is grown entirely without the use of pesticides or harmful chemicals. But is bamboo bedding actually organic? A beloved product has many names, and many people call bamboo bedding organic. The truth is that bamboo is indeed naturally organic and is grown using organic methods.

We use organic bamboo in the production of our bamboo bedding, which is both OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and FSC-certified. This ensures that you get bamboo bedding that is gentle on your skin, the climate, and the world’s forests. In contrast, the production of bamboo viscose requires breaking down and transforming the bamboo fibers into textiles. An organic solvent is used in this breakdown process, which, unfortunately, is not yet classified as organic. At this time, however, there are no other alternatives.

Conserve the world's water resources

Another important difference to keep in mind is that growing bamboo requires far less water than growing Egyptian cotton, organic cotton, organic cotton sateen, or cotton in general.
