WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

A mixed pack solves a different problem than a single-colour one. Here you get five different colours, and that means you can see in half a second which two belong together, instead of standing there holding up two almost identical black ones against each other. Five pairs from Copenhagen Bamboo in 34/39, 40/44 and 45/49.

75 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 75 % bamboo viscose, 23 % polyester and 2 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is the absorbent part: it draws the moisture away from the foot, and moisture is exactly what bacteria live on. The polyester sits where the wear is, at the heel and toe. Read more in our facts about bamboo.

Wash coloured socks together

Coloured socks release a little dye the first few times. Wash them together with other coloured items at 40 degrees, and leave out the fabric softener. It settles on the fibres and takes away the breathability. The rest is in our washing and care guide.
