How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Pack of 3 bamboo hotpants in black, white and nude from Urban Quest with bonded seams and forward moved side seam. Soft and breathable quality.

Three colours in one pack cover every situation: black under dark clothes, white under white and nude under all the light shades where both black and white show through. Hotpants is the shape with long legs, the one that stops the thighs rubbing against each other under a dress.

Bonded seams and a forward set side seam

The seams are bonded rather than sewn, so there is no thread you can feel. At the same time the side seam has been moved forward onto the leg instead of sitting straight at the side, where it would otherwise rub. Two changes that are both about comfort, in exactly the model where rubbing is the whole problem.

70 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 70 % bamboo viscose, 25 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane. The bamboo viscose makes the fabric smooth, which is precisely what is needed. See our facts about bamboo. The briefs are OEKO-TEX Standard certified.
