WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

White tank top in ribbed bamboo from Urban Quest. With double edges and a soft fit, perfect under a shirt, with jeans or to sleep in.

Rib is a knit with vertical grooves. It gives way across and pulls itself back together, and that is why a ribbed top sits close without feeling tight. The wide straps cover the bra strap, and the edges are double, which means the neckline does not go wavy after washing. From Urban Quest, sizes from S to XL.

Three ways to wear it

It can be worn under a shirt, on its own with a pair of jeans, and as something to sleep in. That is not three different tops, it is the same one, and that is the reason ribbed basics become the most used items in the drawer.

70 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 70% bamboo viscose, 25% organic cotton and 5% elastane. The bamboo viscose gives the softness and the breathability, the organic cotton makes sure the white colour does not turn see-through. We go through the material in our facts about bamboo.

Washing

Whites on their own at 40 degrees, without fabric softener, and the rib keeps its structure. See our washing and care guide. The top is OEKO-TEX Standard certified.
