WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

More cotton gives more body

Navy basic T-shirt from JBS of Denmark. Since it is made from bamboo, it is soft and lovely to wear. It is breathable and moisture wicking.

This T-shirt is 55% bamboo viscose, 40% organic cotton and 5% elastane, meaning more cotton and less bamboo than most in the series. It can be felt: the fabric has more body and drapes less, but it is slightly less cool against the skin than a shirt with 65 or 70% bamboo.

The cut

Crew neck, meaning a round neckline with a ribbed edge, short sleeves and a straight men's cut. The remaining 5% elastane is what keeps the neckline in shape after being pulled over the head many times.

When it is the right choice

If the shirt is to be worn alone and look like an ordinary T-shirt, the high cotton share is an advantage. If it is to be used as a sweat absorbing layer under a shirt, a model with a higher bamboo share is better. More in facts about bamboo.

Washing
