WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Light grey marl, and what marl means

This light grey sweatshirt with a round neck and a small logo on the chest is from JBS of Denmark and made from a lovely soft bamboo blend. It's temperature-regulating, breathable and stays soft wash after wash.

Marl means the yarn is spun from fibres in several shades, so the colour appears speckled rather than flat. That's why light grey sweatshirt fabric never looks completely uniform. On the other hand, light grey shows sweat marks most clearly, which is worth knowing before a hot day.

The cut

Round neck with ribbed edge, small logo on the chest, no hood. Without a hood, the top doesn't bulk up at the neck under a jacket.

The fabric

55% bamboo viscose against the skin, 25% polyester so the top holds its shape, 15% organic cotton for weight and 5% elastane in the edges. More in facts about bamboo.
