Dark bedding and what you should know

Short answer: Dark bedding hides stains but shows lint and skin cells more clearly. The colour fades from heat and sun, not from the washing itself.

What dark hides

Coffee, make-up and cream are almost invisible on dark bedding. That is one of the main reasons to choose it.

What dark shows

Lint and light skin cells show clearly. That does not mean the bedding is dirtier than light bedding.

Fading

Black and dark blue fade from heat and sun. Wash at 40 degrees and dry in the shade. See the washing guide.

The first washes

Dark colours release surplus dye at the start. Wash new bedding on its own a couple of times.

Lint from towels
