WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

Black bamboo socks without elastic

Socks without elastic are made for anyone who gets marks from the edge, or who has swollen legs, diabetes or poor circulation. The rib holds the sock up on its own without any tight elastic in it, so it stays in place without cutting into the calf. Black, from Egtved, in two sizes: 40/45 and 45/48.

How they sit

Because there is no elastic, the sock needs the right size to stay up. Choose by your normal shoe size and not one larger, otherwise it slides down. The rib is soft and wide, so the pressure is spread out instead of gathering in a single edge.

The material

71% bamboo viscose and 29% polyamide. The high proportion of bamboo makes them soft and moisture wicking, while the polyamide gives the sock durability and holds the shape. There is deliberately no elastane. More about the material in our facts about bamboo.

Certified

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 under certificate no. 976-15301, and the bamboo is FSC MIX certified. Wash at 40 degrees without fabric softener, see the washing and care guide.
