How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Astrid is a pair of short shorts in a light bamboo quality. They are intended as night shorts, but they are smart enough to stay in on a Sunday morning. It is the dual use that makes them worth having.

68 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 68% bamboo viscose, 27% organic cotton and 5% elastane. The bamboo viscose is what makes the shorts feel cool against the skin on a warm night, and the organic cotton gives the fabric body so they do not turn see through. We go through the material in our facts about bamboo.

Whites are washed separately

White nightwear turns a greyish beige from being run together with coloured laundry. Wash the shorts with the rest of your whites at 40 degrees and leave out the fabric softener. See our washing and care guide. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate no. BEGO 065229.
