How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Wide straps cover your bra strap, so you avoid a beige strap peeking out under a white top. The top sits close to the body and is stretchy, which means it follows the body without being tight. Two pieces from Bamboo Basics, sizes from S to XXL.

68 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 68 % bamboo viscose, 28 % organic cotton and 4 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is the silky soft and absorbent part, the organic cotton gives the fabric the firmness a close fitting top needs so that it does not go slack after a couple of hours, and so that the white colour does not turn see through. Whites are washed separately

A white top turns greyish beige from being washed together with coloureds, and it happens gradually so you do not notice it. Wash it with the rest of the whites at 40 degrees and leave out the fabric softener. See our washing and care guide. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate no. SHKO 039388.
