These black bamboo hipsters with a high waistband have good coverage of the buttocks, side seams, as well as a 2 cm sewn on elastic in the waistband and a folded edge at the leg openings. Bamboo is, among other things, breathable.

The hipster sits lower than a maxi brief and still gives full coverage at the back. The waistband here is a sewn-on elastic of two centimetres, wide enough to lie flat against the skin instead of digging in. The edge of the leg openings is folded over. 80 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 80% bamboo viscose, 13% polyamide and 7% elastane. That is a high proportion of bamboo, and it is what you notice: the brief feels smooth rather than merely soft. A high bamboo content needs a gentle wash
