WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Black hoodie from JBS of Denmark with a logo across the chest, made in a lovely soft bamboo blend. It is temperature-regulating, breathable and stays soft wash after wash.

Black is the most used colour in sweat clothing and also the one that changes the most. Black bamboo viscose turns greyish from hot washing and from the tumble dryer. If you keep to 40 degrees and hang it to dry, it stays black far longer than most black sweatshirts.

The cut

Hood without a zip, logo printed across the chest, ribbed cuffs and hem. On the other hand, lint is more visible on black, so a lint roller is worth having.

The fabric

55% bamboo viscose against the skin, 25% polyester so the shape holds, 15% organic cotton for weight and 5% elastane in the edges. More in facts about bamboo.

Wash inside out

Turn the sweatshirt inside out before washing, so the drum wears the back of the fabric rather than the print. No fabric softener. See the washing and care guide.
