Bamboo Basics makes the black set in two versions, and the difference is the hood. A hood is an advantage outside in the wind, but it adds bulk at the neck under a jacket. That is the whole choice between the two.

The warmth

The fabric has 27.5% acrylic, which insulates better than both cotton and viscose, and that makes the set warmer than the shop's other tracksuits. In return, acrylic pills more easily, and on black, fluff shows up more clearly than on light colours.

Washing

40 degrees inside out, no tumble dryer and no fabric softener. The tumble dryer is what pulls fibres out of the surface and creates fluff. Black also turns greyish from heat. See the washing and care guide.
