WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

The nightshirt without elastane

Pink long-sleeved nightshirt for women from JBS of Denmark, made in the softest bamboo. Lovely both to sleep in and to wear on a relaxed Sunday at home.

This one is 70% bamboo viscose and 30% organic cotton. It contains no elastane, which is an advantage in nightwear: elastane is what goes slack from heat over time, so without it the shirt keeps its shape longer, even though it does not stretch quite as much.

The cut

Long-sleeved and pink with stripes. Long sleeves cover the arms when the duvet does not sit quite right, and the length makes it usable as a home shirt on a Sunday without trousers underneath.

The material

The bamboo content is high and moves moisture away from the skin if you sleep warm, and the cotton keeps the stripes crisp. More in facts about bamboo. The bamboo is FSC certified, see FSC.

Wash stripes inside out

Stripes wear on the outside, so turn the shirt inside out before washing at 40 degrees. Without elastane it withstands washing better than most, but fabric softener still makes the bamboo fibres less soft. See the washing and care guide.
