How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

Black bamboo maxi briefs with a high waist and good coverage of the bottom. Woven waistband without side seams, thin elastic at the leg opening and super soft, moisture-wicking and breathable bamboo.

Maxi means high waist and full coverage at the back. Fewer seams mean fewer edges that can show through clothing. Three black pairs from Bamboo Basics, sizes from S to XXL.

Why it lasts all day

A woven waistband does not roll up into a cord the way a narrow elastic can. That is the practical reason the maxi shape is chosen by those who cannot be bothered to adjust their underwear during the day.

80 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 80 % bamboo viscose, 13 % polyamide and 7 % elastane. The high bamboo content is what you notice first: the briefs feel smooth and moisture wicking rather than just soft. We go through the material in our facts about bamboo.

Wash gently
