How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

When a thong is the right choice

This dark grey bamboo thong from JBS of Denmark has a sewn-on 2 cm wide waistband and a narrow sewn-on edge at the leg openings. Bamboo is, among other things, breathable.

A thong is chosen so that no line shows through tight trousers or a thin dress. For that job, it is the best choice. For a long day on a bike or in warm weather, on the other hand, briefs with more fabric are more comfortable, and it is worth having both kinds.

The wide waistband

The waistband is sewn on and 2 cm wide. A wide waistband lies flat and does not roll into a cord during the day, as a narrow elastic does. The edge at the leg openings, on the other hand, is narrow and sewn on.
