How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

2 pink tank tops in silky soft bamboo from Bamboo Basics. The top sits close to the body and is stretchy, giving a close-fitting shape. Besides fitting neatly and feeling comfortably soft, the top is also breathable, absorbent and moisture-wicking.

Rose is a muted nude shade, that is the one closest to the skin tone, which is why it disappears best under light blouses. The wide straps also cover the bra strap. Two pieces from Bamboo Basics, sizes from S to XXL.

68 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 68 % bamboo viscose, 28 % organic cotton and 4 % elastane. The bamboo viscose is the silky, absorbent part, the organic cotton gives the fabric the firmness needed to keep a close-fitting top from going slack after a couple of hours. Stretchy fit

The top sits close to the body and is stretchy, which means it follows the body without pulling tight. It is that combination that lets it be worn as a base layer without showing through the clothes.

Wash light items separately
