WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

Bedding in taupe, TC400

Bedding in 100 % bamboo lyocell, sateen woven and smooth against the skin. The duvet cover closes with a zip and has ties in all four corners, so the duvet stays where it should. Woven in TC400, the densest quality in the range.

Why taupe

Taupe sits between beige and grey and is the warmest of the neutrals. It makes a light bedroom less clinical without drawing attention, and it hides daily use better than white.

Bamboo lyocell, not bamboo viscose

The item is made from bamboo lyocell. Lyocell is produced in a closed loop where the solvent is reused, and the fibre comes out stronger than ordinary viscose. That matters more for bedding and sheets than for anything else, because they are washed more often than the rest of the textiles in the house.

How the set is made

The sateen weave gives the smooth surface, and the zip sits at the end of both duvet and pillow, so the closure is not against the body. The ties in the four corners of the duvet cover hold the duvet in place through the night. A single set contains one duvet cover and one pillowcase, a double set one duvet cover and two pillowcases. The fabric is sateen woven with 400 threads per inch, denser than the TC300 in the range. A higher thread count gives a heavier, smoother surface and an edge that holds its shape longer. Washing and sizes

Wash at 30 to 40 degrees on a gentle cycle without fabric softener. Softener leaves a film that takes both the sheen and the moisture absorption. See the washing and care guide. Available in 140 x 200 cm, 140 x 220 cm and 200 x 220 cm. The rest of the range under home and homewear in bamboo and bamboo bedding.
