WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

Navy instead of black

Navy is the alternative when black is too harsh, and it works better with blue and grey clothing than black does. These are 90 denier, the thickness where the leg is fully covered.

90 denier is the thickness that covers

90 denier means the leg is covered and not semi sheer, so they can be worn with dresses and skirts all winter. There is a denser panel over the hips, while the fabric stretches more across the seat, as it does on all tights. Sizes from S/M to XXL.

Bamboo instead of pure nylon

The fabric is 60 % bamboo viscose, 36 % polyamide and 4 % elastane. Most tights are pure nylon, which does not breathe and quickly turns clammy indoors. The bamboo content is the reason these are soft against the skin and move moisture away instead of holding on to it. The polyamide gives the strength, and the elastane keeps them up without sliding down. See our facts about bamboo.

Washing

40 degrees, ideally in a laundry bag so they do not catch on zips. Skip the fabric softener and the tumble dryer, because the heat destroys the elastane first and then the knees go baggy. See our washing and care guide. OEKO-TEX Standard 100, certificate no. 976-15301.
