WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

DESCRIPTION

White waffle dressing gown

White waffle bamboo bathrobe from JBS of Denmark in FSC certified bamboo. Soft and perfect to put on after the shower or in the morning.

Waffle means that the fabric is woven with a fine square pattern in the surface. That has a practical effect: the surface area becomes larger, and the gown therefore takes up more water than a smooth fabric does. That is exactly why waffle weave is chosen for something you put on after a bath.

65 per cent bamboo viscose

The fabric is 65 % bamboo viscose, 30 % organic cotton and 5 % elastane, and the bamboo is FSC MIX certified. The bamboo viscose provides the softness and the absorbency, the organic cotton gives the gown the weight that makes it drape neatly instead of flapping. See our facts about bamboo and our FSC page.

Leave out the fabric softener

That applies to all bamboo fabric, but it applies doubly to something that has to take up water. Fabric softener settles as a film on the fibres and destroys precisely that ability.
