WASHING GUIDE

How to best care for your bamboo clothing

To extend the lifespan of your bamboo clothing, we recommend:

Wash at 30–40 degrees.
Wash inside out – especially if there is a print.
Air dry in the shade instead of using a tumble dryer.
Use detergent without harsh enzymes – e.g. wool/silk soap and preferably fragrance-free.
Underwear can be washed at 60 degrees, but this may shorten its lifespan.

This black sweatshirt with a round neck and a small logo on the chest is from JBS of Denmark and made from a lovely soft bamboo blend. It's temperature-regulating, breathable and stays soft wash after wash.

The logo sits as a small badge on the chest rather than as a print across it. Together with black, this makes the sweatshirt as understated as a sweatshirt can get, which is why it can be worn at work and under a shirt jacket.

The cut

Round neck with ribbed trim, ribbed cuffs on sleeves and hem, no hood. Without a hood, the jumper does not add bulk at the neck under a jacket.

The fabric

55% bamboo viscose against the skin, 25% polyester so the jumper keeps its shape, 15% organic cotton for the weight and 5% elastane at the edges. It is the polyester that stops sweat fabric from losing its shape after a winter. More in facts about bamboo.

Black is washed cool

Black turns greyish from heat. Keep to 40 degrees or below, wash inside out for the logo's sake and skip the fabric softener. Lint is more visible on black, so a lint roller is worth having. See the washing and care guide.
